The ghost of a horse ran through her body
Shook the bones around her lungs
And shocked her from her heart
All the way to the bottom of her spine

She did not know what had happened
When the ghost of a horse
Crashed through her
At a full gallop
While she was loading bags of groceries
Into the trunk of her car

It was over so quickly
With just a shiver and a gasp
She did not know what had happened

She never liked horses anyway
