Rosalee van Stelten is a widely published free-lance writer living in Victoria, Canada. Her debut poetry book, Pattern of Genes, is published by Frontenac House. She has been a secretary, an apartment manager, and the president of a cattle sales and management company. As a petty officer in the Canadian Navy, she served on The Royal Yacht Britannia. "Sacramento morning" first appeared in Pattern of Genes.
