I wander
on paths
which were once yours.
Dusty,
trash strewn,
gum encrusted concrete streets.
Folkloric,
primary hued litter
bent
Daliesque
on walkways.

Murals,
Cubistic,
cacophonous homages to Diego.
Your love,
your small elephant.
Today,
I happened upon a scene
not unlike that
which caused you so much pain.
A bus,
an aid car,
Sirens.
A tribute to the horror
you experienced.
